    • Obituary in Herald Journal Newspaper, Logan, Cahce, Utah:
PROVIDENCE, UTAH: Margarita Foerster Astle, 94 passed away on Aug. 7,2008.
She was born June 20 1914 in Neudorf, Germany. She was the first of 4
girls born to Ernst Albert and Ella Fischer Foerster. Margarita and
her family immigrated to the United States in 1927. They lived the
New York City area for twelve years. She attended school in the New
York public system. She graduated from high school and then graduated
from the Drake Business School. She worked as a secretary and court
stenographer. In 1940 her family moved to Salt Lake City. Margarita
married and was sealed to David E. Astle in the Logan Temple on
February 7, 1941. They made their home in Providence. They were the
parents of three boys. Margarita was a faithful member of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to serve the Lord.
She served as a missionary for the Church in the Northern States
in 1938-39. She held many positions of service in the church. Her
greatest service was in name extraction and genealogy which she did
faithfully for many years. She loved to attend the temple and served
as a temple typist in Logan and Salt Lake City. She was the Secretary
at Providence School from 1954 to 1977. She knew the name of every
child in the school and who their parents were. She was preceded in
death by her husband David, her parents, and three sisters, Lisbeth
Foerster, Dorothea F. Carlson, and Liselotte Foerster. She is
survived by her sons; Ernest D. Astle (Sylvia) Logan, Dale F. Astle
(Charlotte) Providence, and John F. Astle (Diane) Providence; ten
grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews. We shall all miss her but are happy that she is now with her
loved ones who went ahead of her. The children would like to express
appreciation to the staff of Terrace Grove and especially the staff
of Alpine Hospice who provided comfort and tender loving care in the
last days of her life. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon,
      Tuesday August 12, 2008 at the Providence 4th Ward chapel, 155 N 100
