| Notes |
- Oralee Gunnell Frank, 86, passed away at her home in Providence on October 2, 2026.
Oralee was born July 18, 1940 in Wellsville, Utah, the second of four children of Alton Mitton and Marie Smith Gunnell.
Oralee grew up in Wellsville where she attended Floradell Elementary and Wellsville Junior High School. She worked on the family farms hauling hay, picking beans and topping beets. She was active in many school activities, played basketball and softball and loved spending time with friends and cousins.
Oralee graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum, Utah in 1958, where she was active in student council and sports. While there she met her eternal high school sweetheart, Louis Frank. They later married on August 1, 1958, in the Logan Temple. Louis and Oralee made their home in Providence for 65 years.
Throughout the years Oralee worked at Thiokol, Watkins Printing and for Cache County and Logan School Districts. She retired in 2005.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Oralee faithfully attended the Providence 1st Ward, where she served for many years in various positions. Her love for the Lord was reflected in the quiet way she lived and served, leaving an example of faith that will continue to bless and guide her family.
Oralee loved working with her hands and found joy in cooking, sewing, crocheting, preserving the produce from her garden, and making homemade goodies to share with others. Above all, the greatest joy of her life was being a mother to Kelly, Craig, Mark, and Jamie, and later a grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured time with her family and loved cheering them on and supporting them at their sporting events and other activities. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved most.
Although Oralee was homebound for the last several years, she never stopped being an important part of her family’s lives. Her children and grandchildren loved spending time with her, playing card games, watching TV, talking, eating candy out of her famous candy jar and just being together. Oralee was a caring listener who made others feel heard and understood. She was always willing to offer a little wisdom or good advice, but often her greatest gift was simply being there to listen. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and connection for those she loved. The memories made, and the love that was felt there, will remain with her family forever.
Oralee was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Louis Seth Frank, her parents, Alton and Marie Gunnell, and her sister, LaDaun Brenchley.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing held before the funeral service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 South 100 East, Logan, Utah. Interment will be in the Providence Cemetery.
